Create New Case Screen

The Create New Case screen provides four options to create a new case:

  • BenefitAgent Interview – walks you through a series of questions about your case; best when you have gathered all requirements and prefer a simpler approach. Selecting this option opens BenefitAgent.
  • duplicate of (Create a copy of an existing case) – This option does not upload the existing case’s census data, but allows you to make changes to the copy, such as changing the case name, enrollment period, effective dates, and even options to remove benefit plans, locations, job classes, and pay groups.
  • From file – Select the file that you want, then enter a name for the case. Accepted file types are: *.xml, *.config, *.mdb, *.mdbx, *.xls, *.xlsx, *.accdb.
  • from scratch - Create a new case from scratch, without automatic walkthrough of case setup.

Create a Copy of a Case

When you select “duplicate of” and then choose a case from the drop-down list, you have several options to set up.

    • Hides case from most enrollers after enrollment period expires.
    • Disables error checking on Social Security Numbers.
Delete After
Use this date field to set a time for the case to be marked for deletion. Not recommended for use with Production cases; it's a perfect use for Test or Training cases.
