Contents
What to load section
Template – Select the import template that you want to use for the census upload. These options (Update employee, Repair coverage, Update coverage) refer to the census mode based on the standard census file template.
- Default - Treat uploaded information as definitive and complete. Upload both coverage and employee information. Set enrollment status to NotBegun if employee is new or rehire. Otherwise, set enrollment status to Complete.
- Update employee – This mode only uploads data from the Employees tab. Required fields are SSN or EID, As of Date, and any other fields you want to update.
- Repair coverage – This mode is used for changing specific coverage details. No recalculation is done and the Application is not changed.
Do NOT select this option – it can cause SEVERE data damage if you do not consider all ramifications. Only Selerix employees should use this option.
- Update coverage – This mode will make changes to coverage while trying to still follow enrollment rules, and looks at the Employees tab (SSN or EID and As of Date only), the Current Coverage tab at the minimum. If data is on the Benefit Detail, Beneficiaries, Riders, or Answers tab, those will be updated as well. No employee data from the Employees tab other than SSN/EID and As of Date will be loaded.
File name - Enter the pattern of the file name; for example, use * to match multiple characters and ? to match single characters.
Files newer than - Enter a date from which files will be selected. For example, if you enter a date of 5/1/2014, the system will upload only those files that are more recent than 5/1/2014. All other files will be ignored.
Auto add departments – Select this option to add any department values from the file to the available departments in the case. If this is not checked, and a department is listed on the file that is not in the case, you will be presented with a mapping link on the errors from upload.

Advanced Options section
a. FTP mode - Select the type of connection that you want to use for this upload. i. Passive mode is the most common mode used. In Passive mode, the FTP client creates both the control and data connection. ii. Fingerprint – Key used to validate the recipient; some protocols, such as SSH, require that the sender store such a fingerprint to ensure the recipient is authentic. This is a requirement for a secure FTP server. e. File Clean-Up Options -Select an option to have the upload process automatically clean up files on the server. Selections include: i. Do not clean up files ii. Delete file after retrieval iii. Delete files older than 1 day iv. Delete files older than 1 week v. Delete files older than 1 month
