Assign Pin Screen
The Assign Pin screen allows you to assign Personal Identification Numbers (PINs) to all employees in the case.
This command overwrites any PINs that an employee may have already selected.
The following are the options for assigning PINs:
- 5-digits - random number
- 6-digits - last 4 digits of social security number and last 2 birth year
- 12 digits - last 4 of SSN/full 8 digit birthdate (MMDDYYYY)
- 8 digits - last 4 of Employee Identification Number plus full birth year. (Note - if Employee Identification Number is fewer than 4 digits, PIN will be initially padded with 0s to fill out the four digits.)
Note: To provide greater security, employee self-service enrollment PINs can no longer start with the Employee ID (if EID is greater than 3 characters) or a User ID (if used on the case). For example, an employee with an Employee ID of "1000" cannot have a PIN that starts with "1000". Additionally, PIN cannot exactly match SSN, Employee ID, or User ID.
To assign PINs, select one of the following options:
- Only change unchanged PINs
- Select this option if you want to preserve PINs that employees have entered themselves and only change PINs for employees who have not logged in.
- Require PIN change
- Select this option iff you want to force employees to change their PIN numbers after first logging in.
