Use this screen to add in the columns that you are expecting in the custom census file.
- Sheet/Element Name
- Enter the name of the sheet used to house the incoming data. If the Sheet isn't identified with a name, leave this blank.
To add fields for import:
- In the drop-down list, select the field that you want to add, then click the Add button.
For example, add Employee: Employee SSN. The screen is updated to display the added field.
- In the Column Name box, type the name of the column to match exactly the name of the column in the import file. For example, type EMP_SSN.
- Enter the Start Position of the field.
- Enter the Field Size for the field. Remember to include characters such as dashes and backslashes.
- Repeat steps 9 – 13 for each column/field that you want to add.
- If you want to add scripting to a column, click the Script icon. The Script window opens, and allows you to create a script for the field.
- Click Save to save your script and return to the Custom Import: Columns screen.
