Text banks
The text bank is a general repository for text used in the current case and throughout the system. Text banks that are local to the current case are stored in the Local text bank. Text banks that are used throughout the system are stored in the Global text bank. Do NOT edit the Global text banks, unless the change has been approved by a site administrator.
- Import button
- This button allows you to import text banks that you've exported from another case.
- Export button
- This button exports all text banks that are local to the current case. The text bank information is saved to an Excel spreadsheet, and contains the following information:
- Text Bank Key - Name of the text bank; required for import into a case.
- Local Text - Content of the text bank; will include "source coding" for the text, if any exists. This refers to HTML coding and/or JScript.
- Last Updated - The timestamp of the last edit to the text bank.
- Language - Identifies the language used in the text bank; required for import into a case. Options include: English, Spanish, English (Canada), and French (Canada).
- Local Only
- Assists case builders in finding text banks that have been updated on a specific case. Selecting this option will show only text banks that have a local copy.

Editing Plan-Year Specific Text Banks
You can now create plan-year specific text banks, by adding the plan year as a suffix to the name of a text bank. While this is most commonly seen as part of application instructions (and can be set using the Engage tab on the benefit plan), you can also add the plan year to other text banks, such as the Welcome page on the Enrollment site. Specifically, add the year of the plan year start date to the end of the text bank name; the system will determine which text bank to use, by going from more specific to less specific.
Example of text bank names for plan years:
- HEALTH_APPLICATION_INSTRUCTIONS_2024
- CONTENTLIB_WELCOME_ELIGIBLE_2024
