Deduction codes identify a specific benefit for the purpose of payroll reporting. For each product, you may specify three EDI parameters -- the Deduction Code, Deduction Name, and Deduction Type. All three of these values appear in payroll and employee benefits reports. You may also specify separate codes based on coverage tier and pretax/posttax status.

If the payroll company has assigned a number to the group, enter it as the Group Number.

Click the '''Add''' (+) button to add a deduction code.
To change a code, click on the desired code and enter your changes.
To duplicate a deduction code, select the desired row and click the '''Add Copy''' button.
To delete a deduction code, click anywhere in the row and click the '''Delete''' (X) button.
Click the '''Same for all locations''' checkbox if you wish your changes to be saved at all locations.
